Portraits a very special gift either for yourself or a loved one that will be cherished for a lifetime. Weather it be a young couple, a wonderful family, a beautiful child or a cherished memorial of a loved one portraits are works of art that celebrate love. Each portrait created by me is a work of art that is placed on an archival quality support with a professional grade medium.
Portraits are available in pastels, graphite, watercolor or oil painting. Multi subject pricing slightly higher. All paintings include a graphite sketch. I ask for a down payment of 30 percent that pays for supplies and is non-refundable. At the time of the graphite sketch's completion I will show you the sketch in which you can let me know if anything needs to be changed. Upon your approval I will then paint your portrait. The completed package includes the painting and the graphite sketch. If you are not happy with the portrait please let me know and I will work to your satisfaction. Satisfaction is guaranteed, if you are not happy with your portrait I will refund you your fee minus the supply fee. Prices start at $125 for single subject graphite portrait - as seen in the couple portraits above, $175 for single subject painted watercolor portraits -as seen in the girls above, and $250 for single subject painted oil portrait.
Due to people's time constraints most portraits are created from photographs. I prefer to work with high quality photographs, after all the more information I can get the better the drawing and thus painting will be created. High resolution JPEGs are best. Don't worry if you only have a small photo of a loved one. I have created memorial pictures from older photographs- this is not a problem. If you are working from a special photo I ask that you have a duplicate made for me to work from so as to keep your original safe.

Prices are: $125 for two pets in the same portrait, $105 for one pet with background and $95 for one pet. Sizes depend on composition needs, most portraits are around 12x12 or 12x16. These sizes fit nicely in an album frame or 16x20 standard frame. Larger portraits available upon request, prices will vary.
